- Se valoró con 2 de 5por Gunner, el hace 16 díasIt does what it says it does, however, it increases page load times by an unacceptable amount. Pages load instantly with the extension disabled. With it on, load times are anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds. That doesn't sound like a lot until you're sitting through it on every page load. And those 3 to 5 seconds add up after just a few minutes of browsing. Honestly this extension shouldn't even have to exist. There's no reason Firefox doesn't have a native dark mode like literally every other browser does. I thought this would be the fix, but it comes up a little short for me.

- Se valoró con 2 de 5por Freeroamer696, el hace 3 mesesUnfortunately this ext has been unusable of late(2/25/24). Firefox (on more than 1 occasion) suggested I disable it to improve performance. Slows down site loading, freezes and missing items are a constant now. If it returns to it's previous functionality I would happily reinstall as it was great, but until then, it has to go for my browser to remain functional. Hope a fix is incoming....

This is the second time I installed and uninstalled it because I noticed how much it kept slowing down Firefox! - Se valoró con 2 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 15258288, el hace 3 mesesworked great in edge but in firefox it always flickers and messes up ui in many pages like facebook messenger
- Se valoró con 2 de 5por ass, el hace 3 mesesit's good, but why the hell it takes half of my cpu resources?
- Se valoró con 2 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 18268214, el hace 3 mesesAlmost doubles Firefox's CPU usage. It was causing stuttering on a stream I was watching. Awful performance, isn't worth what it does.

- Se valoró con 2 de 5por Nocturne, el hace 4 mesesI still remember how great it was when it could actually auto-detect site theme without relying on OS theme...
And there are STILL bug when if you switch auto -> on -> auto that it'll discard saved options and will default to "OS theme" even tho it's not even checked - Se valoró con 2 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 15848924, el hace 5 mesesllevaba usando esta extensión años.

why don't all websites offer dark mode? - Se valoró con 2 de 5por Hassan TR, el hace 5 meses
- Se valoró con 2 de 5por ChefExperte, el hace 6 mesesWhile it works on some pages, it breaks many pages for no reason. Some buttons cannot be clicked anymore, some text blocks disappear, ui elements get moved around and other problems. On the most recent Firefox version some tabs just constantly crash. Nice idea for a plugin, but it does not work...

When the extension is set to follow the system dark theme and macOS is set to "Auto" instead of "Light" or "Dark", Dark Reader mistakenly thinks the system is set to "Light" no matter what time of day it is.
Downloading any of the past 25 older versions of the extension doesn't resolve the problem.
The Chrome version of this extension has no such issues. - Se valoró con 2 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 18029466, el hace 9 meses
- Se valoró con 2 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 17998462, el hace 9 mesesLately it interferes with too many websites. So many sites, especially for news, use the "read more" button to see beyond the first paragraph or so, but I can't click it. I have to disable this addon before it works. I wish dark mode were more of the default across the web because it's so much better for your eyes.

- Se valoró con 2 de 5por Chris Grimmett, el hace 10 mesesDark Reader has one of the most confusing user interfaces I have used. It is completely unfamiliar to any other software I use on a regular basis. I can't tell if any of the settings are in the on/off enabled/disabled state due to ambiguous design. For example, a button shows either x or ✓. Does x on the button mean I'm switching to x by clicking or does it mean x is the current state? Another toggle uses a left/right instead of x and ✓. A third type of button uses x and ✓ but it's only on the left side. Then there's the light/dark flat buttons which I fail to differentiate. Does light mean pressed or does dark mean pressed? There is a complete lack of predictability and logic and I can't understand how I'm supposed to use it. I'm looking for an alternative extension.
